| Project Preliminary Proposal & Work Progress in the First-phase
China Optical Industrial Park is located in Danyang City and boasts various kinds of necessary facilities. So far the early-stage planning has finished, and now cooperation is sought by means of solo investment or joint venture. Situ town has superior geographic location and convenient communications, besides the Optical Industrial Park stands within the reach of the urban cities. Located at the southern part of Huning Expressway, to the east of National Highway 312 and amidst old urban areas and Danxi Industrial Park, the park is merely half an hour’s drive from Nanjing, 2 hours’ ride from Shanghai Municipality, sits close to the Heyang Exit of Huning Expressway, and is 15 minutes’ drive from Dagang Harbor of Zhenjiang, the third largest port along the Yangtze River. The town hosts more than 400 optics manufacturers and over 10,000 employees, capable of developing various high-grade glasses. With a complete set of auxiliary industries, it bears low cost in investing in optical industry here.

So far there’re over 400 optics manufacturers in the whole town, among which foreign-funded enterprises amount to 40-plus. In 2006, the town realized the sales volume of 3 billion yuan, with the tax reaching 230 million yuan.
